All Koaji Guitar Displays are
handcrafted in the United States
with customer satisfaction in mind. If you are not fully satisfied with the
product, we accept returns within 30 days of your receipt of the product.
Customers are responsible for any and all shipping, repackaging, and liability
coverage costs to Koaji Guitar Displays’ designated shipping location. The
original purchaser will have the choice of either 1) a future credit for the full
purchase price of the display case towards another product of equal to or
greater value or 2) a cash refund minus a 20% restocking and handling fee. Goods
must be in "as new" condition with no evidence of abuse or damage.
Customers are responsible for all shipping and handling charges. Shipping
and handling charges are not refundable. The return or credit of a custom order
display case is at Koaji Guitar Displays’ discretion. This
Limited warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable to any other
person, persons, parties or entities.
Structural
defects are covered under warranty for a period of one year from the original customer's
receipt of the product. Normal shrinkage, swelling, hairline cracks and minor
warping is to be expected and is not a structural defect and therefore not
covered under warranty.
Since most of our products are
made to order, orders cancelled within 2 business days after receipt of payment
will be refunded in its entirety. Cancellations after this period will be
refunded minus a 20% restocking fee.
Wood varies in color and grain
from tree to tree. Although the building materials are hand selected, this
variation will occur and will be evident in your product to varying degrees.
This is part of the uniqueness of each display case.
The display cases may also include knots as a part of the wood's natural
characteristic. Koaji Guitar
Displays cannot guarantee clear boards, totally free from knots or other natural
characteristics of the wood. There may also be streaking in some of the wood as
a part of the natural characteristic of the tree.
Stains and
finishes on Koaji Guitar Displays are applied by hand to each display case.
As in any type furniture, variations in color may occur from products since the porosity of the
grain and wood material takes stains differently.
We make every effort to assure every handcrafted product meets our end
item final quality and consistency of color throughout the piece. Stain colors on our web site and any samples sent to customers are subject to the foregoing
variations and your display case will vary to some extent from these samples.
Colors shown on the
web site have been digitally reproduced and are for reference purposes only. The
actual color of the product may not be identical.
Any
modification or alteration of Koaji Guitar Displays’ products by anyone other
than Koaji Guitar Displays (or its designate) will void its warranty in its
entirety.
Lead
times or order completion times of ordered items are provided as an estimated
date of shipment based on product availability, current schedules and capacities. In most cases we
will meet or exceed these delivery times although our policy is to not
jeopardize workmanship quality over delivery commitments.
We will provide best efforts to inform customers of any slippages in such lead
times exceeding 30 days.
Customer
pays for all freight, shipping charges, liability coverage, and applicable taxes.
Each Koaji Display Case is inspected and meets final
inspection criteria prior to shipping. The default shipping term is F.O.B.
shipper. As such, the customer is responsible for any and all damage incurred
during transit. Please immediately inspect your display case upon receipt.
We
reserve the right to make changes to any of our display cases at any time.
The
use of glass or any other type of door may affect the internal temperature and
humidity of the display case relative to its external environment. Please note
that sudden temperature changes can be damaging to some guitars and certain inks
used for autographs on collectable guitars may fade over time. Customers are
responsible for the proper care and monitoring of the environment and as it
affects their instrument. Koaji Guitar Displays LLC cannot be liable for any
damages as a result of such circumstances. Customers may want to consider the
use of hygrometers or similar devices to monitor the environment.
In
order to prevent freight damage, the doors are shipped uninstalled in the
display case. Customers must follow the installation instructions and securely
mount the door according to these instructions. As with any furniture with glass
or acrylic doors, failure to securely mount the door to the display case may
lead to the door slipping from its mount resulting in breakage of the door,
injury, or damage of surrounding materials. Koaji Guitar Displays, LLC cannot be
held liable for any damages related to the improper mounting of the door or to
the inappropriate opening/closing/removal/installation of the door.
In
order to prevent freight damage, the glass doors may be shipped uninstalled in the
display case. Customers must follow the installation instructions and securely
mount the glass according to these instructions. As with any furniture with
glass doors, failure to securely mount the glass may lead to the glass door
slipping from its hinges or mounting position resulting in breakage of the glass or damaging surrounding
materials. Customers must frequently check that the doors are secured to the
hinge or cabinet. Koaji Guitar Displays, LLC cannot be held liable for any damages related
to the improper mounting of the glass door or to the inappropriate
opening/closing of the glass door.
Glass
door locks, if provided, are for general security only to deter access into the
contents of the display case. These
locks are not intended to be a theft protection device.
We cannot be liable for any damages or loss related to the security level
of the locks
We know your
instrument is a very valuable asset. As such all Koaji
Guitar Displays feature mounting slots located to accommodate mounting. We
strongly recommend securing the case to wall studs using the enclosed mounting
hardware. Where mounting of the display case does not line up with the wall
studs, drywall anchors are also supplied. Customers
must use at least one wall stud for mounting.
If this is not possible, use the drywall anchors according to the
installation
instructions ensuring that the anchors are locked behind the drywall and securely tightened.
The anchors provided are for use on dry wall only. Do not use on paneling or
similar walls that cannot hold the weight of the display case and its
contents. Customers mounting the display case to walls without solid wood
studs or drywall must use appropriate mounting hardware with a minimum working
load of 90 lbs per anchor. Anchors
must lock in the wall to prevent from being pulled out of the wall. Use all mounting slots on the display case.
Proper mounting is especially important for display cabinets with a door option as the
door imposes added weight to the display case. Koaji Guitar Displays, LLC cannot be liable for any damages related to improper mounting of the
display case, inadequate mounting hardware for the type of wall, or to a defective wall.
Installation by a licensed professional is strongly recommended for mounting the display
case.
Never place any
objects on top of the display case or hang items from the display case other
than its intended content as this will add more weight to the display case.
The
display case is designed for wall mounting only and must be securely fastened to
a wall at all times.
Never use the display case as a free standing unit whether on floor or
any other surface.
Customers who choose to purchase
materials should note the following:
Doors:
Only tempered glass with
polished edges or acrylic doors are used. We cannot be liable for
any damages as a
result of any type of door purchased by the customer from any other source.
Always keep the door closed for hinge mount display case models.
Lights:
We currently do not recommend
the use of lighting in the display cabinets since there is a risk of heat
buildup in the interior of the case. Please also note that under cabinet lighting or
similar lights may produce high temperatures leading to
excess heat on the instrument being displayed or to the cavity of the display
case. We do not recommend adding your
own lights to the display case and cannot be liable for any
damages incurred as a result of customers using any light fixture other than
that provided by us.
Mounting
Hardware:
Customers who use hardware
other than those provided by us use it at their own risk. Hardware
provided with the cases are designed only for drywall and solid wood stud
mounting. If mounting to other types of walls (e.g., plaster, concrete,
etc.) please use fasteners with a minimum weight rating of 90lbs per
fastener. We cannot be
liable for any damages related to improper mounting of the
display case to a defective wall, use of incorrect fasteners for the type
of wall, or to mounting to a wall that cannot handle the weight of the display
case and its contents. Installation by a licensed professional is
strongly recommended for mounting the display case.
