BUYING GUIDEIf you are unsure of which display case works best for your guitar consider the following: SL or AE Series. The basic difference between these two is in the depth of the display case. The SL series is has a shallower depth than that of the AE series and accommodates most thin line solid body guitars such as those made by Fender, Gibson and other manufacturers. It will also work with most thin-body electric acoustic guitars as well. Because of the shallow cavity, guitars with tremolo arms or whammy bars may touch the glass door when the door is closed. To check your tremolo arm height check the measurement at the highest point of the tremolo arm. In other words rotate the arm so it is at the highest point above the guitar body. If this measurement exceeds the depth of the SL series case consider the AE series. You can also opt to rotate the arm such that it is at the lowest point as well to see if it will fit behind a glass door. Some people are also satisfied with the tremolo arm slightly touching the glass door to opt for the sleek SL series design. The AE version is designed for most hollow body or acoustic guitars such as classical or dreadnaught bodies. Name Plates. Name plates are offered in two sizes. Choice is personal preference but the small name plates tend to be popular for those wishing to display the year and model of the guitar. Large name plates are very popular for those who want to display autographed guitars or those who prefer to add more text. The large nameplate s offered in both the SL & AE series. The small nameplate is sold only with the AE as it mounts on the top crown molding.
